"The Glimmer of Darkness" tells the story of a store and three generations. Starting from a small stall, Hakka Lao Xu and his wife Yaling, as well as their close friend Lao Jiang, settled down in Tainan City, took root, branched out, and spread out. "Yongsheng Soy Milk" has become a favorite old store for neighbors with the taste of traditional breakfast. But for the Xu family, the taste is not entirely sweet: the eldest daughter Li Yi, who supported the family in place of her deceased mother, sacrificed her youth; the second son Li Qi, who was ambitious but repeatedly frustrated, only hoped to get his father's recognition with a piece of radish cake; the younger daughter Li Xin, who seemed to be elegant and pursuing herself, actually had an unknown childhood trauma...
