A tired stranger boarded the Arctic Circle expedition ship and told Walton this story: His name is Victor Frankenstein. He was born in Geneva. In his childhood, he lived a happy life with his parents and adopted sister Elizabeth. His mother died of complications during childbirth when she gave birth to his younger brother William. In school, Victor was studious and inquisitive. His good friend Dr. Waldman told Victor that he had tried to resurrect the dead in the past. Victor stole his work diary and then used the stolen corpse to recreate a living person. Later, his creation escaped and was driven to the countryside by the city people. He fled to a farmer's pigsty. After the family found him, they drove him out again. The creation angrily began to retaliate against Victor. The grief-stricken Victor used parts of Justine and Elizabeth's body to recreate a living woman. The creation wanted to possess this new woman, but she was unwilling, so she set herself on fire and burned down Victor's house. Victor tracked the creation all the way to the Arctic Circle. One-sentence review Its Alive. Be warned. Behind the scenes The first science fiction novel in European literary history, Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus (also translated as Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley in the late 19th century), was not only made into movies three times in 1910, 1915 and 1931, gradually forming the term Frankenstein monster, but also led to a series of films with related themes. Among them, the 1994 version of Frankenstein is the most faithful to the original. The famous movie star Robert De Niro interprets the tragic life of Frankenstein very movingly with his superb acting skills.
