They were bullied by the ruffians at the dock. Fortunately, the two of them worshipped the Chaozhou gang leader "Wang Laoji" and were protected by the latter. They were adopted by the latter and named Ma Shaolin (played by Zheng Zeshi) and Ma Shihao (played by Lu Liangwei). The Ma brothers have since helped Wang Laoji run the "Zihua Stall". A few years later, the two have grown up. Shihao was unwilling to see his adoptive father's business slump, so he contacted outsiders with his brother to take over the Zihua Stall business and opened up the situation by relying on the power of newspaper dissemination. At the same time, Ma Shaolin invested in the newspaper industry and gained both fame and fortune, becoming the chairman of the newspaper board. In 1968, the brothers got involved in drugs and fell into a melee with the Hong Kong drug lord Jin Yaju, which resulted in the death of their adoptive father and many brothers. The Ma brothers relied on the power of the legislators to sweep the gangs.
