Lee Pace plays the founder of the legendary American car company DeLorean, the genius car designer John DeLorean. The film is set in the 1980s, when DeLorean was founded just a few years ago and is on the rise. It focuses on the relationship between John and Jim Hoffman, played by Sudeikis. Hoffman seems interesting and charming, but he is actually a former fraudster who now works for the FBI. He comes to John as an undercover agent to accuse him of drug trafficking. The interesting bromance established by the two quickly takes a sharp turn and goes wrong.
