Milani (Tippi Hedren) is a rich girl who accidentally meets lawyer Mitch (Rod Taylor) in a pet store and they fall in love. The next day, Milani brings her pair of pet parrots to visit the small town of Bodega Bay where Mitch lives, but is attacked by a seagull and injured on the spot.
