This film continues the "Our Story" series. The third part begins in 1979 and spans more than ten years to the golden years of the late 1980s. It tells the story of the second generation of the Lin family and their neighbors after they moved from the kampung to the government housing, experiencing major changes in Singapore's environment, policies and people's livelihood. After his sister passed away, Ah Kun (played by Li Guohuang) turned over a new leaf and became a taxi driver. He often clashed with his younger nephew Shunfa because of the generation gap. In the 1980s, Singapore was implementing a number of reform policies. Ah Kun was often dissatisfied with many of the government's policies, such as the forced closure of Chinese schools and Singapore's elite system. As a result, he decided to "sing against" the government and set up an opposition party. How will everyone's story end?
