Introduction
The film follows Washington as Macbeth, who is convinced by three witches that he is destined to become King of Scotland. Together with his ambitious wife Lady Macbeth (McDormand), he sets out to turn prophecy into reality... with lots of blood, betrayal, and death as a result. Gleeson plays King Duncan, Melling plays Duncan's son Malcolm, and Hawkins plays Macduff. Bruno Delbonnel (Inside Llewyn Davis) served as cinematographer.
