BBC America has announced that it will film an 8-episode thriller Killing Eve, which will be directed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and is scheduled to premiere on April 8, US time. The series is based on the novel series by Luke Jennings. The protagonists of Killing Eve are Villanelle, a psychotic assassin, and Eve (Sandra Oh) who is hunting her. Eve is a bored, very smart, and low-paid British security agent. Her logistical work cannot satisfy her fantasy of being a spy; as for Villanelle (Jodie Comer), she is an elegant and talented killer who clings to the luxurious life that this violent work can bring her. These two smart women are fascinated by each other and engage in an epic cat-and-mouse game. Other actors include Fiona Shaw, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Kim Bodnia, David Haig, Sean Delaney and Owen McDonnell.
