After the Pearl Harbor incident, the then-President of the United States ordered the bombing of Tokyo to boost morale. After completing the mission, Captain Jack Turner and his team were forced to land in Zhejiang Province, China due to running out of fuel. Yingzi and her daughter accidentally discovered Jack who was unconscious. Despite the great risk to her life, Yingzi still did not give up on the American who needed help. Although they did not speak the same language, this relationship was destined to affect their lives. The film recreates the story of the truth, kindness and beauty of human nature during the war years through the process of Chinese soldiers and civilians saving American pilots with their own lives.
