Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon have confirmed their return as the starring actors and executive producers, and David E. Kelley will continue to serve as the creator and screenwriter, also for 7 episodes. Starring actors such as Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz, and Adam Scott are also expected to return. Jean-Marc Vallée will no longer serve as director, and Oscar winner Andrea Arnold ("American Honey" and "Fish Tank") will take over as director.
