The protagonist played by Suzuki, Shuji Nanyun, is a social studies teacher who taught at Mie Prefectural Koshiyama High School for three years. Although he played baseball until college, he retired due to an injury. After dropping out of college, he worked as a sports coach, but he could not give up his dream of becoming a teacher, so he entered college again at the age of 32 and became a teacher. While living his life as a teacher, the grandson of a local landlord enrolled in school, and he became an advisor to a weak baseball club that was about to be disbanded, and his daily life changed dramatically.
