In the early Shang Dynasty, the land of China was filled with the smoke of war. Chi Lei was abandoned in the forest because of his natural appearance and grew up alone. He gradually grew a pair of wings. One day, two armies were fighting nearby. Female military doctor Yun Ying was chased into the forest by the enemy and was rescued by Chi Lei. The two became good friends. Yun Ying had to bid farewell to Chi Lei and return to the barracks because of military duties. Chi Lei broke into the barracks alone because of missing his lover. General Li discovered that he had supernatural powers and invited him to join. However, Chi Lei was faced with fear and rejection from others in the army.
