Hunan Satellite TV transplanted a similar program from MBC TV in South Korea, "Where Are We Going, Dad?", a large-scale parent-child outdoor reality show, has been popular for two seasons with the support of thousands of viewers, becoming a rare super-topic variety show. Riding on the popularity of the first two seasons, "Where Are We Going, Dad?" stepped out of the screen and into the cinema, making a brilliant debut in early 2015. The location for this shoot went abroad and was chosen to be Fiji, an island country in the South Pacific east of Vanuatu and west of Tonga.
