Xiaokang is a useless man, holding up an advertising sign in the hustle and bustle of traffic to make a living, standing firm even in the storm. He holds up the sign, lights a cigarette, pees, holds up the sign again, lights a cigarette, pees, and lets the noise of the traffic whiz by. Xiaokang has only two children in his life. They eat together, brush their teeth together, change clothes together, and curl up together to sleep. They lack water and electricity, and always sleep on the same shabby mattress, hugging each other with a cabbage. The whole city seems to have become a ruin where wild dogs roar and wander, and the river has become farther away. On a rainy night, Xiaokang decided to take the two children and go sailing together.
